Abstract

This article discusses the reconstruction of Indonesian language education learning in the era of Society 5.0, there are major changes in technology and ways of communication, especially in the digital context, Indonesian language education needs to be adjusted to face the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities offered by these advances. The purpose of this study is to identify challenges, opportunities and strategies in the reconstruction of Indonesian language learning to improve students' digital literacy and communication skills in the virtual world. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method through data collection techniques with recording, note-taking, and tapping techniques, as well as learning observations in several schools that apply technology in teaching. The results show that there are some major challenges in learning Indonesian in the era of Society 5.0, such as the use of non-standardized language on social media, the digital skills gap among teachers and students, and the lack of curriculum that integrates technology effectively. However, this study also found that the use of technology in learning can open up opportunities to improve students' digital literacy skills, facilitate access to Indonesian language learning, and encourage creativity in communicating through digital platforms. Therefore, this article recommends the importance of technology training for Indonesian language teachers, curriculum development that is more adaptive to digital developments, and improving students' digital literacy skills so that Indonesian language learning remains relevant in the Society 5.0 era.
