Abstract
The 2nd International Conference on Islamic Studies 2018 is arranged under the theme of “Exploring the Moderation of Islam within Indonesian Civilization”. It became a platform for participants to discuss a number of critical and contemporary issues relating to Islamic studies. The scopes include social and Islamic culture, law and Islamic legal thought, language and literature, social and Islamic studies, Islamic education, economic and Islamic Banking, English language teaching in Islamic schools. This year we were together with 65 full papers (some of them were selectively published in the journals), written by experienced researchers, graduate students, students of the post-doctoral program, academicians, and professionals from national and international universities. 2nd ICONIS 2018 attracting such a high number of participants is a good indicator of the success and means the conference serving its purpose and offers a good opportunity of scholarly exchange and networking.
